Whole Wheat Cornbread (adapted from Set for Life)
- 1 cup yellow cornmeal
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 4 tsp baking powder
- 1 cup skim milk
- 2 eggs whites
- 2 Tb canola oil
- 2 Tb applesauce, unsweetened
Mix all ingredients until combined. Spray nonstick cooking spray into a 9X9-inch pan.
Bake at 400 degrees for about 20 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
